Looking for a Desktop Dictionary / Thesaurus Widget

Right now, I'm using dicitonary.com to look up words when I'm unsure of their spelling. Since it's a website, it can be slow and encrusted with ads. Can anyone recommend a desktop widget that would do the same thing?
