Little, Yellow Flowers

I think that after recent events, some pictures of little, yellow flowers are needed.

Very nice! Much yellow!

I see that the leaves are the heart-shaped trifoil leaves like the "wood sorrel" that we have locally, except that I'm pretty sure that ours have white blossoms. But, it looks like what you have out on the west coast is the Western Yellow Oxalis, which is related.

The wood sorrels are one of the plants I recognize, because their leaves have a pleasant sour flavor. But I suppose one shouldn't eat too much, because the sourness is from oxalic acid, which is a bit toxic if one gets carried away.

Ilion, I should have done that pink-roses-in-the-beard thing when I proposed. Of course, I'd need to rent a beard from someone as I can't grown one myself, but that's a minor detail.

Tim, as usual, you come through with excellent info and imagery. Thanks!

Do you really think she'd have said "Yes" had you? That's some love!

Probably not, Ilion. She would have known I was crazy instead of just suspecting.
