Feline Geometry

I love this shot. I have no idea why she liked laying here, but clearly, our Maximum Leader, Maddi, is intensely pleased with it. I left it fairly large, so it might be worth a click. Enjoy!

My cat has a similar sort of place where she does the same thing. They're interesting creatures. Sometimes I wonder how their brains work.

I think mine worries about me taking a shower -- all that, ugh, water just pommeling me. She comes in when I turn the water on, and leaves after I come out. When I had the poison ivy, she must have thought her worst fears were being realized -- I'd scream and groan in the shower. (It was pretty bad poison ivy.)

I used to think she cuddled at night, but since my sleep had been totally interrupted, I've learned she didn't come in to cuddle until about an hour before my alarm goes off. I think so she's ready for breakfast.

She likes to lie on the dog's bed in the dog's crate. It freaks the dog out. She'll bark at ME as if to tell me "Hey! The cats in my bed and I want to lie down. I can't, 'cause the cats in my bed!" The car just lays there, feigning sleep. (There's no way she's sleeping through the barking.)

I think she enjoys freaking out the dog. She'll walk UNDER the dog while the dog is drinking, and go up to the dog's bowl and drink out of it. Again, the dog will take a step back and look at ME: "She's drinking out of my bowl! Help!" (The cat has a perfectly good bowl of fresh water --sans dog drool.)

Right now, she's sitting in my lap, staring at my phone.

Cats are strange creatures. I had one for several years. He was a dignified and gentlemanly feline. Over the summer, I took care of a cat for a lady who was traveling for several weeks. Completely different personality. His antics were stupid and goofy and funny.
